Cherry wood M.O.C Boards is a magnetic knife holder or magnetic knife strip, some people know them as knife racks, wood magnetic blocks or wood magnetic knife holders, they are an elegant and magical "drawer-less" solution to the storage of small items in a small space. Unfortunately, the mass-produced cabinet industry has sold the idea that cherry wood is a dark burgundy color, nothing can be further from the truth, Cherry is a beautiful wood that starts a salmon color and will age over time getting darker and a richer tone of red and a beautiful grain. Of course, you could request us to send you an unfinished cherry magnetic knife strip so you can stain it and match your cabinets.

Cherry is a wood that will not go out of style in a couple of years, it is a classic look. Cherry goes great with any wood that is in the maple/oak color pallet or clearly cherry, it also goes great with greens and yellows, I would avoid cherry in a predominantly brown room. I like using the magnetic knife strips as a contrast rather than matching the existing cabinets, but that is just my opinion.

The Cherrywood M.O.C Board or magnetic knife holder has a continues magnetic field that will hold any ferromagnetic object, in other words, objects containing metal that attracts to magnets will stick to the magnetic knife strip. In other words, a continuous magnetic field allows you to just place the knife anywhere on the magnetic knife strip without having to worry about finding the magnets.

As is the case with any natural wood product, the color, and grain of your M.O.C. Board will be unique, as such, it will have slight variations both in color and grain from the pictures on this page. In the case of Cherry, your board will darken over time.
